La consultation porte notamment sur un mod\u00e8le de surveillance propos\u00e9 pour l&rsquo;OSBI et sur des am\u00e9liorations \u00e0 apporter \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tape d&rsquo;examen et de d\u00e9cision du processus de r\u00e8glement des diff\u00e9rends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aper\u00e7u des commentaires :<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Conseil canadien des organismes de d\u00e9fense des consommateurs (CCODC) a soumis ses commentaires sur l&rsquo;avis et la demande de commentaires 25-314 de la CSA, qui d\u00e9crit un cadre propos\u00e9 accordant un pouvoir contraignant \u00e0 l&rsquo;Ombudsman des services bancaires et d&rsquo;investissement (OSBI). Le CCODC appuie fermement les d\u00e9cisions contraignantes de l&rsquo;OSBI, qu&rsquo;il consid\u00e8re comme une mesure importante pour renforcer la protection des investisseurs, mais il a exprim\u00e9 des pr\u00e9occupations quant au niveau de surveillance r\u00e9glementaire propos\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le CAC a averti que l&rsquo;obligation d&rsquo;obtenir plusieurs autorisations de la CSA pourrait entra\u00eener des co\u00fbts inutiles et nuire \u00e0 l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance de l&rsquo;OBSI, un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel pour maintenir la confiance du public.
